Bush Regeneration - Sat 15, 09.00-12.30
Happy Valley, La Perouse, Botany Bay National Park
This
beautiful oasis needs your help! Join a group of dedicated volunteers
for a fun morning helping to preserve this unique coastal area. The
Botany Bay NP is home to over 350 plant species and shelters a remnant
of the vegetation once typical along the Sydney coast. However the park's
location, surrounded by high-density development, makes it particularly
vulnerable to weeds.
Work alongside experts from the NSW National Parks and
Wildlife Service to combat weeds and reclaim the land for native plants.
No experience required, tools and training provided.

Northern Beaches Fish Survey - Sun 02
CoastKeepers
Fish Surveyors survey sites along the Northern Beaches on the first
Sunday of every other month. The aquatic reserve at Shelley Beach and
Fairy Bower are favourite sites with many of our target species found
in large numbers. Other popular sites include Fairlight, Little Manly
beach and Dee Why. Data from these surveys is forwarded to BioNet, Project
AWARE and the Manly Environment Centre.
