Corner - Monday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26nd This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to contribute to the restoration of this beautiful part of the NSW coast. No previous experience is required as training will be given on the day, so come along and gain some new skills while making new friends. Work starts at 8 am and finishes at 11 am. You should bring morning tea, plenty of drinking water, protective clothing, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat. The meeting place changes every week so contact us in advance to book a place and ensure that you have the correct meeting location. Contact Dave at daver@marine.org.au
Launch of landmark TAFE course - Chowder
Bay Pier, end of Chowder Bay Road, Mosman -Thurs 8th - 10.30am The course will be launched by Alison Megarrity, Parliamentary Secretary on behalf of the Hon. Bob Debus, NSW Minister for the Environment. Guest Speakers include Valerie Taylor, NPA~Marine Patron, Dr Andrew Refshauge, Honorary HarbourKeeper and Derry Thomas, TAFE Business Manager, North Sydney Institute.
Data collected from the Bondi Fish Surveys is forwarded to BioNet - the NSW government's online biodiversity database, Project AWARE for inclusion in a global fish survey initiative, Waverley Council and the Bondi Marine Discovery Centre. The CoastKeepers @ Bondi Fish Survey "hub" is the first of many CoastKeepers Fish Survey groups to be trained on the NSW coast. Click here to register if you would like to get involved.
