Bush Regeneration and Littoral Rainforest Workshop - Sunday 02, Dunbogan - Pilot Station

The Mid North Coast Branch of NPA presents a free workshop on littoral rainforests and why they are so vitally important at an open morning at the historic Pilot Station at Dunbogan. There will be interesting talks and an overview of the conservation outcomes that we have achieved in the area. You can also join a hands-on bush regeneration project funded by ‘Caring for our Country’.

By attending this free workshop you will learn new skills while making new friends, no experience required, tools and training provided.

This beautiful oasis needs your help! Join a group of dedicated volunteers for a fun morning helping to preserve this unique coastal area. The Botany Bay NP is home to over 350 plant species and shelters a remnant of the vegetation once typical along the Sydney coast. However the park's location, surrounded by high-density development, makes it particularly vulnerable to weeds.

Work alongside experts from the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to combat weeds and reclaim the land for native plants. No experience required, tools and training provided.

Bush Regeneration 'Bitou Bashes' - Sunday 17
Port Macquarie region

The Mid North Coast Branch of NPA carry out bush regeneration and the removal of Bitou bush in the Port Macquarie region. Come and make a direct contribution to our environment by attending our free ‘Bitou bashes’. A few hours of your time helps Australian plants and animals and is a great way to relieve stress and burn calories while making new friends. Come along to help us care for our native bushland, no experience required, tools and training provided

Dunbogan - Gogleys Lagoon/Trevors Corner

The Mid North Coast Branch of NPA complete bush regeneration work every Monday morning at Gogleys Lagoon and Trevors Corner in Dunbogan, a short drive south of Port Macquarie.

Join in and contribute to the restoration of this beautiful part of the NSW coast. No experience is required as training is given, so come along for a rewarding experience while learning new skills and making new friends.

Fish Survey

CoastKeepers dive groups complete Fish Surveys all along the NSW coast. CoastKeepers Fish Surveyors are volunteer divers who wish to give something back to the marine environment they love.

Eastern Suburbs Fish Survey - Sun 03

On the first Sunday of every other month a group of volunteer divers complete a CoastKeepers Fish Survey at various sites along the eastern suburbs of Sydney including Ben Buckler at N Bondi, Gordon's Bay and Bear Island. Coastkeepers forwards the data from these surveys to BioNet, Project AWARE and the Manly Environment Centre.

Northern Beaches Fish Survey - Sun 31

CoastKeepers Fish Surveyors survey sites along the Northern Beaches on the first Sunday of every other month. The aquatic reserve at Shelley Beach and Fairy Bower are favourite sites with many of our target species found in large numbers. Other popular sites include Fairlight, Little Manly beach and Dee Why. Data from these surveys is forwarded to BioNet, Project AWARE and the Manly Environment Centre.
